Through November 21
The Galerie Magda Danysz (78 rue Amelot, 11th)has an exposition From Style Writing to Art on the evolution of street art, with Seen, Futura, Crash, Quik, Jonone, West, Miss Van, Blek Le Rat, Obey, Space Invader and Zevs. Free entry.

November 19
Beaujolais Nouveau! Celebrated at bars throughout the country. Ejoy...in moderation, of course. And as the saying goes: Beaujolais Nouveau is like a new baby. You don't discuss whether it's smart or good looking, you just celebrate its arrival. ;) You can also try the "alternative" celebration event at Le General Hotel with Champagne.

November 20-21
Workd skate champ Tony Hawk comes to Paris for a performance in the Grand Palais, with live art by Parisian grafitti artist Monsieur André and a live concert by a "big" -- as yet undisclosed -- band on the 21st. Tickets at FNAC for €40. Other skaters on the 20th, free entry.

November 23
After many months of travaux, La Flèche d'Or (102bis rue de Bagnolet, 20th) is finally reopening tonight with a concert by Evan Dando of the Lemonheads, Anoraak, and The Two. Entry with drink €8. Time to rock'n'roll!

November 24
Les Mardis du Grand Palais are a series of free discussions, "conférences-débats", on different topics around art and culture. The next one on the 24th focuses on the question: "Manger bien et bon, est-ce réservé à une élite?" Guest panellists include Alexandre Cammas (Fooding founder), Marc de Champérard (author of Guide Champérard), Didier Elena (chef at the renowned restaurant Les Crayères in Reims), Eric Kayser (artisan-boulanger) and Michel Maffesoli (sociologist).  The talks takes place 18h-20h, sign up at mardis@grandpalais.fr.

November 25
Author Michael Schürmann of "Paris Movie Walks" will be leading a free hour-long tour of film locations throughout Paris at 4pm. Meet in front of the bookshop Shakespeare & Company (37 rue de la Bucherie, 5th). The tour will also end here with a book signing. 

November 27-December 5
See a rare concert series with the greatest berbère musicians, poets and dancers at the Quai Branly Museum, IZLAN: L'Atlas et leDesert Marocain. Tickets from €15 through FNAC.

Through November 28
British burlesque-acrobatic-vaudeville troupe La Clique performing at Bobin'O. Tickets from €10-70.

November 30
Lapérouse, the historic restaurant at 51 Quai des Grands Augustins (6th) is having a special Soirée Oenologique, where the sommelier introduces diners to a selection of regional wines -- this month is the Domaine Beaurenard -- complemented by a special chef's menu in a table d'hôte atmosphere. Cost is €110/person, places are limited. Register on their website (where you'll fid the full menu) or call 01 56 79 24 31.

December 3-6
Stock up on holiday gifts or just some pretty things for your own home at the vernissage and expo-vente at La Clairière (8 rue de l'Espérance, 13th) from 6pm on the 3rd (with music) and from 11am-8pm on the 4th-6th. Vintage lace and linens, hand-printed table settings and carefully selexcted antiques, all at amazingly affordable prices.

December 6
Join three Paris expat authors -- Heather of the Naughty Paris Guide, David Lebovitz of The Sweet Life Paris, and Keith Spicer of Paris Passions -- for wine tasting and book signing today at O-Château (52 rue de l'Arbre Sec, 1st) from 3-5pm.
